US 190 (Thomas St. and Morris St.), from Chestnut St. to Cate St., City of Hammond, Tangipahoa Parish

Alternating lane closure will be in effect on westbound US 190 (Thomas St.) beginning Wednesday, July 9th and continuing until Friday, July 18th for sewer line repairs on US 190 (Thomas St.) between Chestnut St. and Cate St. in the city of Hammond. Also, eastbound US 190 (Morris St.) will have alternating lane closures in effect from Monday July 14th through Friday , July 18th between Cate St. and Chestnut St.

One lane will be open at all times. Reduced speed limits will be posted. Motorist should expect a 5 minute delay.

PERMIT/DETOUR SECTION:

Oversize loads are restricted to 12 feet in width.

Westbound motorist can avoid this work zone by detouring south on LA 3158 (Airport Rd.) to I-12, west on I-12 to US 51 Business, then north on US 51 Business to the junction of US 190.

Eastbound detour is south on US 51 Business to I-12, east, on I-12 to LA 3158, then north on LA 3158 to the junction of US 190.
