REVISED: Closures Planned for I-10 in Metairie

Interstate 10 to be Temporarily Closed Wednesday Night

 

Metairie, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that I-10 eastbound will be closed Wednesday, June 18 for approximately 30 minutes to allow crews to hang trusses over the roadway.

 

The following lane and ramp closures are also scheduled to allow crews to stripe the roadway:

 

Tuesday, June 17, between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • Alternating double lane closures on I-10 eastbound, between Veterans Memorial Boulevard and Clearview Parkway.
  • Closure of the Clearview Parkway exit-ramp from I-10 eastbound. Traffic will be detoured to Veterans Memorial Boulevard.

Wednesday, June 18, between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • Alternating double lane closure on I-10 eastbound, between Veterans Memorial Boulevard and Clearview Parkway.
  • Closure of the Clearview Parkway exit-ramp from I-10 eastbound. Traffic will be detoured to Veterans Memorial Boulevard. 

Thursday, June 19, between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

  • One right lane closure on I-10 westbound, between Causeway Boulevard and Clearview Parkway.
  • Closure of the Clearview Parkway exit-ramp from I-10 westbound. Traffic will be detoured to Veterans Memorial Boulevard.
  • Closure of the Bonnabel Boulevard on-ramp to I-10 westbound. Traffic will be detoured to Causeway Boulevard for entrance to I-10 westbound.

All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution through this and other highway work zones. Also, be alert for the presence of construction workers and equipment.
