LA 42 Widening from U.S. 61 to La. 44

This is a brief update on the progress of the LA 2 widening project.
The clearing, grubbing and utility moving project is slated to be complete by the end of this year. The main component of this project consists of a new parish sewer system on the south side. Once the utilities have been substantially moved, then we will let the road construction project which is currently scheduled to let out for bid this Fall. There should not be any disruptions in traffic flow due to construction until early 2015 when the road work begins.
