The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), advises the public that weather permitting, on Monday, May 12, 2014 road construction work will begin on LA 29 from the North intersection of LA 107 to the intersection of LA 114.
This 3.75 mile long road reconstruction project will receive drainage structures, cement treated subgrade layer, in-place cement treated base course, superpave asphaltic concrete pavement, and related work.
This contract was awarded to the low bidder, W. E. McDonald & Son, LLC in the amount of $2,078,589.09.
Permit/Detour Section
No wide loads will be allowed beginning May 15, 2014. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times; however, there will be lane closures. Unpaved roadway conditions will exist during base course construction.
