The Houma Navigation Canal Bridge crossing the Houma Navigation Canal on LA 661 in Houma, LA will be closed to vehicular traffic in accordance with the schedule shown below:
• Monday March 31, 2014 thru Friday, April 4, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Monday, April 7, 2014 thru Friday April 11, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Monday, April 14, 2014 thru Thursday April 17, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Monday, April 21, 2014 thru Friday April 25, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Monday, April 28, 2014 thru Friday May 2, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
These closure(s) to vehicular traffic are needed in order to allow LADOTD’s contractor to perform structural, mechanical, and electrical work as part of a multi-million dollar rehabilitation project.
Alternate routes available around the Houma Navigation Canal bridge closure(s) are as follows:
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 57 (Grand Caillou Road) to LA 3040 (Tunnel Blvd.) to LA 182 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
LA 661 (South Van Ave.) to LA 24 (Twin Span Bridge) to LA 182 (Barrow St.) to LA 315.
