DOTD announces resurfacing project involving lane closures in the Convention Center area

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces an upcoming resurfacing project along US 90B (Calliope Street) from Magnolia Street to Convention Center Boulevard. The project will involve alternating lane closures from Sunday through Thursday nights, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., beginning this Sunday, November 4 and lasting until January as crews perform asphalt milling, concrete repair and drainage relocation. The schedule will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate special events in the area.

The North bound and South bound US 90B (Calliope), from Magnolia Street to Convention Center Boulevard, will have alternating lane closures with one lane remaining open at all times. This closure will allow vehicles 10-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone. The road will be open for regular traffic.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
