UPDATE (4/17/14):
The work necessary for the cross drain replacement has been completed and LA 582 has reopened.
UPDATE (4/11/14):
Due to recent rain, the area for cross drain replacement between Traxler Road and Burke Lane on LA 582 will remain closed for another week. It is anticipated that this will reopen on Monday, April 21.
LA 582 in West Carroll Parish near Forest, LA will be closed for four weeks while construction crews replace three separate drainage pipes beneath the roadway. The road closures will occur on LA 582 between its junctions with LA 2 and LA 17. The dates for the road closures are anticipated as follows:
Week 1: Monday, March 17, 2014 through Monday, March 24, 2014 - Cross Drain Replacement between Puckett Road and Anderson Road
Week 2: Monday, March 24, 2014 through Monday, March 31, 2014 - Cross Drain Replacement between Savage Road and Little Road
Weeks 3 & 4: Monday, March 31, 2014 through Monday, April 14, 2014 – Cross Drain replacement between Traxler Road and Burke Lane
The detour route around this road closure will be accessed using LA 2, LA 589, and LA 17.
