There will be lane closures on LA 1 (Hospital Rd) from the intersection of LA 1-B (False River Road) to the intersection of LA 10 in New Roads starting Friday, March 14, 2014 thru Monday, March 17, 2014. The closures will be from 6:00 PM until 7:00 AM the following day (weather permitting). These closures are needed for crews to restripe the roadway in order to shift traffic to accommodate the upcoming construction on the south bound shoulder of LA 1 (Hospital Rd).
After these closures are complete, traffic will remain shifted on the restriped roadway during construction of the southbound shoulder.
Wide loads in excess of 10 feet will need to contact the LA DOTD permit office for routing information until further notice.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
