The next scheduled total closure of the Grand Ecore Bridge is scheduled to begin at 11:30 pm on Thursday, July 15, 2010. The bridge will be completely closed until 4:30 am on Friday July 16, 2010. The intent of the closure is to allow the contractor to set deformed reinforcing steel on the bridge structure. During this closure, detour signs will be in place to direct traffic to the next closest bridge crossing of the Red River (US 84 off LA 1) in Coushatta.
