On Wednesday, May 19, crews are scheduled to re-open access at the merge point of I-10 westbound to North Causeway and North Causeway to Veterans Boulevard.

The North Causeway to Veterans exit and the I-10 westbound exit ramp to the Veterans Overpass have been closed since October because of the construction of portions the new elevated I-10 West off-ramp to North Causeway. The bridge foundations, columns and girders have been completed to a point where traffic can safely exit on temporary roadways.

North Causeway traffic heading to Veterans will have to merge to the right lane and the I-10 to North Causeway traffic will merge to the left lane on new temporary lanes.

This condition will remain until the new ramps are completed in November/December. Future short duration closures of these temporary ramps will be necessary for construction of the bridge deck and concrete barrier rail. These closures will occur at night and will be announced at a later date including detour information.

No vehicle restrictions.
