DOTD and the City of Ruston to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for U.S. 80 intersection improvement project
What: DOTD and the City of Ruston will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the U.S. 80 intersection improvement project at La. 167.
When: The press conference will be held on Wednesday, October 24th at 11 a.m.
Where: The press conference will be held at the Ruston City Hall 401 North Trenton Street Ruston, La.
Why: The U.S. 80 at U.S. 167 intersection improvement project widened the existing two lane roadway to three lanes to help alleviate congestion through the area. Awarded to Amethyst Construction, Inc. for $635 thousand, work on this capacity project began in August 2012 and completed earlier this week. Funding for this project consists of a combination of both federal and state funds.
