I-10 - June 17 and 18 closures

One lane of the I-10 westbound service road, between Picardy Avenue and Bluebonnet Boulevard, will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. so that crews can cast a 48-inch trial drill shaft. The trial shaft is a 90-foot hole that is drilled and then filled with concrete. These shafts will eventually be used as footings for the new piles that will be used to widen the Bluebonnet overpass.

Also, I-10 eastbound will be reduced to one lane of through traffic from 9 p.m. to 5a.m. between the I-10/12 split and Essen Lane while crews install sheet piles.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through these areas.  These closures are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
