UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 480 over Boggy Lake, Red River Parish
(UPDATE): DOTD advises motorists that these repairs are complete and this bridge has been REOPENED.

Original notification:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Friday, August 9, 2024, the LA 480 bridge over Boggy Lake in Red River Parish will be closed.
This closure is scheduled to be in place through Sunday, August 11, 2024, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform repairs to the bridge pilings.
This bridge is located approximately five miles south of the intersection with US 71. (see included map)
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
