DOTD and City of Scott announces road closure on Saint Mary Street for Scott roundabout construction

SCOTT, La. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), along with the City of Scott, announced today that starting Wednesday, January 2, Saint Mary Street between Benoit Patin Road and Apollo Road (La. 3168) will be closed to the traveling public due to construction related to the Scott roundabout.

 

This closure is estimated to remain in place over the next four months, weather permitting.

 

Local access to businesses and the frontage road will be maintained while the closure is in place.

 

To access Interstate 10, local traffic can detour using Benoit Patin Road and Apollo Road. The detour for truck traffic consists of Apollo Road (La. 3168) to U.S. 90.

 

Serving more than 11,000 cars per day, La. provides as a direct connection to Interstate 10 and is a vital corridor to tourism and hospitality related industries in the city of Scott.
