HAMMOND, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced today that Allison Schilling has been named the new district administrator for District 62, which includes Livingston, St. Helena, St. John, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa and Washington parishes. With headquarters based in Hammond, District 62 encompasses 1,860 road miles, 1,060 bridges and oversees more than $366 million in current construction projects.

As the newly selected district administrator, Schilling brings 31 years of experience in road design and construction to DOTD.  Schilling, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1998, joined DOTD in 1981 as an engineering technician. Since joining DOTD, Schilling has worked in several capacities ranging from engineering intern to engineering technician design specialist. Schilling’s most recent position was Program Delivery/Design Engineer.

Schilling replaces former district administrator, Connie Standige, who recently retired.
