BRIDGE CLOSURE: LA 540 in Homer, Claiborne Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the LA 540 bridge (N. 5th Street) over an unnamed waterway in the Town of Homer, Claiborne Parish is closed.
This closure is necessary due to the condition of the structure, and will remain in place until further notice.
This bridge, which was built in 1958, is located just west of the intersection with US 79.
Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to take an alternate route.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
