The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces a closure of Transcontinental Drive, north and south bound, on Monday, April 2 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., as work continues on the I-10 widening project in Metairie.

All lanes of Transcontinental Drive will be closed at the Utica and Wabash Street intersections to allow crews to re-position heavy construction equipment and continue working on the I-10 overpass above Transcontinental Drive. Traffic will be detoured to Clearview Parkway.

All construction activities are weather-dependent and may be re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the work zone and be on the lookout for crews and their equipment.
