The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, Regulatory Branch and the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD) will conduct a scoping analysis meeting to engage members of the public and other interested parties in the scoping process for developing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) addressing the proposed construction of a highway between Bush, La., and I-12, in St. Tammany Parish. The EIS will be used to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), to determine the least damaging, yet practicable alternative and as a basis for the permit decision. The Notice of Intent to Prepare a Draft EIS was issued in the Federal Register, Vol. 73, No. 224, on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008. The scoping meeting has been scheduled for the location, date and time below:
