The Department of Transportation and Development announced today that nighttime lane closures will continue on Interstate 10 from Washington Street to the Acadian Thruway until early September.

Lane closures throughout the remainder of the project will differ during the week from those closures on the weekend:

  • Weekdays, Sunday night through Monday morning, up to two lanes may be closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • Weekdays, Monday night through Friday morning, up to two lanes may be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • Weekends, Friday night through Sunday afternoon, up to two lanes may be closed between 10 p.m. until 3 p.m.

  • All lanes will be open for the Labor Day weekend starting Friday evening through Monday evening 10 p.m.

The I-10 project includes road surface patching, clearing ditches, adjusting catch basins and adding a new 3.5-inch driving surface from the Washington Street to the Acadian Thruway.
