Interstate 10 Calcasieu River Bridge Maintenance Project

Completed Work: 
Over the last month, crews focused their efforts on cleaning to prepare the surface for the painting of selected areas below the deck of the bridge.  

Current Work:

Work on the substructure continues. Crews are working on structural metal repairs and installing some replacement handrails, which include sets of newly cast replacement pistols.

 

Future Work:

Lane closures will continue until the end of March 2012. The contractor is behind schedule, but has taken measures to gain progress.
