Alternating lane closures: U.S. 171 Northbound between MP 4.0 and 5.1 – Calcasieu Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that there will be alternating lane closures on U.S. 171 northbound from mile post 4.1 to 5.0, starting Thursday, June 9, 2022, to Thursday, June 16, 2022.

The closures are scheduled as follows:

· Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m. until Friday, June 10 at 7 a.m.
· Sunday, June 12 at 7 p.m. until Monday, June 13 at 7 a.m.
· Monday, June 13 at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, June 14 at 7 a.m.
· Tuesday, June 14 at 7 p.m. until Wednesday, June 15 at 7 a.m.
· Wednesday, June 15 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, June 16 at 7 a.m.

The closure is necessary for bridge overlay work. The project will last approximately 10 months and should be completed by March 1, 2023. The scope of work includes cleaning, painting and overlay.
