BRIDGE CLOSURE: Britton Road in Ouachita Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, June 20, 2022, the bridge over a waterway connected to North Cheniere Creek on Britton Road in West Monroe, Ouachita Parish will be closed for replacement.

This bridge is located between Albert Road to the south and Hattaway Road to the north.

This closure is anticipated to last until late August 2022, weather permitting, and is part of a project to replace two bridges. The other bridge is located on Herman Dickerson Road.

These bridges are off-system bridges, meaning they are not located on a state highway and are owned and maintained by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury. The project is being managed by DOTD.

Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.

Permits/Restrictions: Total road closure. All vehicles must detour.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
