Update: Emergency closure of West Pearl River Bridge
SLIDELL, La. — The West Pearl River Bridge on US 90 is closed for emergency repairs.
The bridge closed Tuesday, May 24, 2022, after inspectors found significant deterioration of the deck supports during a routine inspection. Bridge inspectors will be evaluating the damage more extensively to determine the extent of the repairs. A timeline will be provided once this has been evaluated.
Detour/Alternate Route:
Eastbound motorists may use US 190 West to US 190 Business (Fremaux Ave.) to I-10 Eastbound. Proceed on I-10 East to MS 607 to US 90 East.
Westbound motorists may use MS 607 to I-10 Westbound. Proceed on I-10 West to US 190 Business (Fremaux Ave.) to US 190 East.
