INTERMITTENT LANE CLOSURES: I-49 interchanges, Shreveport – Caddo Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that from Wednesday, May 18, 2022 through Friday, May 20, 2022, there will be intermittent lane closures at the following interchanges along I-49 in Shreveport, Caddo Parish to allow for work conducted by Kansas City Southern Railroad:
  • Wednesday, May 18th: Hollywood Avenue
  • Thursday, May 19th: Kings Highway
  • Friday, May 20th: LA 511 (70th Street)
These intermittent lane closures will take place in short spans of time between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the dates listed. This is to allow KCS to perform bridge inspections on their railroad overpass.

Alternate Route: N/A

Permits/Restrictions: Be advised of possible lane width restrictions for oversized loads.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
