UPDATE:***OPEN*** LA 413 (Island Road) Emergency Closure – Pointe Coupee Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 413 (Island Road) is closed effective immediately at a point approximately 8 miles from the intersection of LA 413(Island Road)/LA 414 (Ventress Road)/LA 413 (Legion Road), and will remain closed until further notice. The traveling public should use alternate routes.
This closure is due to problems associated with a recent Pointe Coupee Parish gas line installation, which caused a void to form under the highway.
