NOW OPEN: LA 134 near Lake Providence in East Carroll Parish

*****UPDATE: LA 134 NEAR LAKE PROVIDENCE HAS BEEN REOPENED TO TRAFFIC.*****
EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE
Effective immediately, LA 134 in East Carroll Parish will be closed at approximately 0.25 miles south of the intersection of US 65 and LA 134 near Lake Providence, LA. This closure is required due to the deterioration of a cross drain under the roadway. This closure will remain in effect until the damages of the cross drain can be fully investigated and all necessary repairs are completed.
DOTD reminds motorists to NEVER drive around ‘road closed’ barricades at any time for any reason.
PERMIT/DETOUR
The detour route will be LA 134, LA 3181 and US 65.
