RAMP CLOSURE: I-20 eastbound at Exit 47 (Minden), Webster Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that I-20 eastbound at Exit 47 (Minden – LA 159/US 371) in Webster Parish will be closed on the night of Tuesday, January 25, 2022 for the purpose of crash attenuator repair.

This ramp closure is scheduled to take place beginning at 8:00 p.m. and will be reopened by 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

A crash attenuator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to absorb the colliding vehicle’s energy.

Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place. Traffic will be detoured to Exit 49 (LA 531).

Permits/Restrictions: Total ramp closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to detour.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
