Weeks Island Bridge Update
Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 1:07:05 PM

Crews remain on schedule for completion of Stumpy Bayou Bridge by the end of May.

Crews completed the deck formwork for 225-foot steel girder deck and began placing reinforcing steel.

They also placed a limestone base course for the north end roadway and began shaping and grading work for north embankment.

Upcoming work will include the continued work removing the old bridge, work on the deck in preparation for concrete, and the roadway approaching the bridge.
