EXTENDED I-10 WB Entrance Ramp at Exit 121 - LA 3177 (Butte La Rose), St. Martin Parish, Ramp Closure

UPDATE: Due to construction delays, this closure has been extended until Monday, January 31, at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The I-10 westbound entrance ramp at Exit 121 - LA 3177 (Butte La Rose) will be closed beginning Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 6:00 a.m. until Thursday, December 30, at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to reconstruct the roadway.
I-10 westbound motorists will only be able to access the Butte La Rose Rest Area and Tourist Information Center via the posted detour route, which includes continuing on I-10 westbound to Exit 115 (Henderson/Cecilia) and then taking I-10 eastbound back to Exit 121.
Motorist traveling on LA 3177 (Atchafalaya River Highway) will only be able to access I-10 westbound using the posted detour route. The detour route is to travel on the I-10 eastbound entrance ramp to Exit 127 (Whiskey Bay), and then travel northwest on LA 975 to access the I-10 westbound entrance ramp at Exit 127.
The I-10 eastbound exit and entrance ramps will remain open.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the westbound ramps during construction. Detour routes will be posted during this ramp closure period.
There will be no vehicle width restrictions associated with this work.
