The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that beginning November 16, 2021 at 7:00 pm, weather permitting, LA 28 East will have the two westbound lanes reduced and shifted to the center turn lane between Cleco Drive and Hillcrest Road to allow for sewer work. In addition, the inside eastbound lane will be closed, and that traffic will be shifted to the outside eastbound lane. The lane closure can be expected to last until 6:00 am on November 17, 2021.

There are no detours at this time associated with this road closure.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
