UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 4 over Saline Bayou, Bienville Parish


(UPDATE 11/18/2021): DOTD advises motorists that repairs to the LA 4 bridge over Saline Bayou in Bienville Parish are complete, and the bridge has been REOPENED.

Original notification (11/10/2021):

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, the LA 4 bridge over Saline Bayou in Bienville Parish is CLOSED.

This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform repairs to the bridge piles.

The bridge is located approximately 1.2 miles east of the intersection with LA 9 at the Village of Lucky.

We appreciate your patience, as DOTD crews are working as quickly as possible to complete these repairs and ensure the bridge is safe for travel.

Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.

Permits/Restrictions: Total bridge closure. All traffic will need to detour.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
