LA 114,located approximately 0.5 miles west of the intersection of LA 114 and LA 115,is open to all traffic and alternating lane closures will be necessary in the future to perform remaining work on the project.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, (DOTD), advises the public that, weather permitting, on Monday, October 25, 2021, LA 114, located approximately 0.5 miles west of the intersection of LA 114 and LA 115, will be closed to all traffic.

This 0.061 mile construction project consists of clearing and grubbing, grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, pavement patching, asphalt concrete overlay, and related work. Construction is expected to be completed by January 2022.

This contract was awarded to Merrick, LLC in the amount of $344,397.00.

Permit/Detour Section
The roadway will be closed to traffic for the duration of the cross drain replacement. The detour will be as follows:

LA 114 Eastbound traffic is to detour east on LA 1188 to the intersection of LA 115 and proceed north on LA 115 to LA 114.

LA 114 Westbound traffic is to detour south on LA 115 to the intersection of LA 1188 and proceed west on LA 1188 to LA 114.


The detour route will be identified with proper markings for the general public. All emergency agencies will be notified of the road closure.
