DOTD announces all lanes on the I-10 Bonnet Carre Spillway open to passenger vehicle & truck traffic
St. Charles Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that all eastbound lanes on the I-10 Bonnet Carre Spillway Bridge are now open for car and truck traffic.
Commercial trucks had been restricted from driving over the bridge at milepost 218 near I-310 south after a crash and fire damaged the bridge in September.
At that time, DOTD engineers deemed the bridge unsafe for truck loads and began making the necessary repairs so all traffic could safely travel the bridge. Those repairs are complete and the bridge is open to commercial trucks and cars.
