UPDATE – OPEN TO TRAFFIC: LA 532 overpass at I-20, Minden, Webster Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the newly constructed LA 532 overpass over I-20 near Minden in Webster Parish is officially open to traffic.

The $8.2 million project involved removing the old bridge, which was built in 1960, and replacing it with the new overpass on a slightly adjusted alignment.

Motorists should be aware that crews and equipment may remain on site in order to complete final work items over the next several weeks, so please drive with caution through the area.

The LA 532 overpass replacement project was funded through the Federal Highway Administration’s redistribution dollars, which are administered to states that successfully allocate the full amount of their already available funding for construction projects each fiscal year.

Safety Reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
