UPDATE: La. 324 at the Charenton Bridge is now re-opened to the traveling public.
Effective immediately, LA 324 at the Charenton Bridge over Bayou Teche in St. Mary Parish, is closed until further notice due to a power failure, which left the bridge inoperable.
The bridge is currently open to marine traffic only.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.
