UPDATE: Shoulder closures along I-210 in Lake Charles – Calcasieu Parish

Update (8/26): I-210 eastbound between the I-10 interchange and Prien Lake Bridge will have a shoulder closure on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Original notification (8/23)

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists there will be shoulders closures along I-210 in Lake Charles beginning Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

The shoulder closures are scheduled as follows.

I-210 westbound between Fruge Street and Broad Street: Tuesday, August 24, 2021, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
I-210 eastbound between Legion Street and Broad Street: Tuesday, August 24, 2021, and Friday, August 27, 2021, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

The closures are related to the ongoing project to install live traffic cameras and message boards on I-210.
