The Bayou LaCarpe Bridge on LA 661 crossing Bayou LaCarpe in Houma, LA will be restricted to one (1) twelve (12’) foot lane of travel with flaggers from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the following dates:
Monday August 23, 2021
Tuesday August 24, 2021
Monday August 30, 2021
Tuesday August 31, 2021

This lane closure and maximum travel width restriction of twelve (12’) feet is required in order to allow the Department’s engineering consultant contractor to perform a comprehensive in-depth inspection of the bridge’s mechanical, structural and electrical elements. In addition to the one (1) lane restriction, periodic vehicular closures, not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes at a time, will be necessary throughout the four days of inspection in order to test the electrical and mechanical components of the bridge.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
