UPDATE: REOPENED - Road closure at the railroad crossing on US 90 (Fruge Street) between Goodman Road and Cappo Road - Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: The railroad crossing has reopened to traffic.

Original notification:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, effective immediately, there is a road closure at the railroad crossing on US 90 (Fruge Street) between Goodman Road and Cappo Road in Calcasieu Parish due to railroad mechanical failure.

Railroad personnel are on scene working to address the issue. Motorists should expect possible congestion in the area, and are advised to take alternate routes. DOTD will issue a notification when the crossing has reopened.
