Shadow Bluff Drive at I-10, Lafayette Parish, Road Closure

Shadow Bluff Drive, near the intersection with I-10 and Pont Des Mouton Road, will be closed beginning Monday, August 9 at 7:00 a.m. until Friday, August 13 at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to repair the roadway shoulder and guardrail underneath the I-10 overpass and Vermilion River Bridge.
The detour for northbound traffic is Louisiana Avenue via Shadow Bluff Drive, continue on Louisiana Avenue to East Pont Des Mouton Road.
The detour for southbound traffic is East Pont Des Mouton Road to Louisiana Avenue, Louisiana Avenue to Shadow Bluff Drive.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in Summer 2021.
