UPDATE: I-210 Prien Lake Bridge eastbound and westbound lane closures - Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE (8/6/21):
The eastbound and westbound insides lanes on the I-210 Prien Lake Bridge have reopened to traffic.

The closure scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, August 7, 2021, is cancelled.


Previous notification (8/5/21):

The eastbound inside lane on the I-210 Prien Lake Bridge has reopened to traffic.

The westbound inside lane on I-210 Prien Lake Bridge remains closed. The closures scheduled for Friday and Saturday remain in effect.


Original notification (8/4/21):

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists the inside lanes on I-210 eastbound and westbound on the Prien Lake Bridge will be closed daily, starting Thursday, August 5 to Saturday, August 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The closures will allow the contractor to remove light poles. All dates and work is weather permitting.

A project is in development to replace the lighting system, and is expected to be complete in 2022. The light poles were damaged during Hurricane Laura in 2020.
