I-10 EB & WB from Exit 109 (LA 328) to Exit 103 (I-49), Lafayette Parish, Lane Closures
Friday, July 30, 2021 at 1:32:30 PM
Both eastbound and westbound directions of I-10 between Exit 103 (I-49 - Lafayette) and Exit 109 (LA 328 – Breaux Bridge), will have nightly lane closures between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. beginning Thursday, August 5, until Saturday, August 14, weather permitting.

These closures are necessary to allow crews to apply epoxy overlay to bridge decks, install bridge deck joint seals and stripe the roadway.

There will be no vehicle width restrictions associated with these lane closures.

Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays. No detour route is necessary.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in summer 2021.
