There will be alternating lane closures on US 51 Business at the Railroad Track Spur just south of Tower Rd. (or 1.1 miles south of LA 22) in Ponchatoula, LA beginning on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 6:45 AM through 7:00 PM for railroad crossing and asphalt related work.

There are no restrictions for oversized loads.

Motorists may use the following routes to avoid the work zone:
Motorists traveling US 51 Business north may take I-55 to LA 22, then east to re-intersect US 51 Business.
Motorists traveling US 51 Business south may take LA 22 west to I-55, then south to re-intersect US 51 Business.
