I-49 NB Entrance Ramp to I-10 EB, Lafayette Parish, Ramp Closure
Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 4:01:08 PM
The entrance ramp for I-10 eastbound at I-49 northbound (Exit 1A) will be closed beginning on Friday, July 16 at 8:00 p.m. until Saturday, July 17 at 6:00 a.m., weather permitting:

This closure is necessary to allow crews to install bridge deck joint seals.

The detour for traffic will be to utilize the interchange clover leaf ramps by taking Exit 1B (I-10 westbound entrance ramp), Exit 103A (US 167 South exit ramp), and Exit 1A (I-10 eastbound entrance ramp).

Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area.

The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge (State Project Number H.003003). The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to LA 328 (Breaux Bridge).

The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in Summer 2021.
