US 80 at Bayou Lafourche Bridge, Richland Parish


The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, work will begin on a $1.3 million project to repair US 80 from the Bayou Lafourche Bridge eastward approximately 1.44 miles in Richland Parish.

This is located about two miles west of the Start community.

The contractor will begin with clearing and grubbing for the project, which also includes repair and stabilization of the roadway base, pavement patching, asphalt overlay, and related work.

Eastbound and Westbound lane closures will be necessary and motorists should be on the lookout for flagging operations to maintain traffic.

The entire project is anticipated to be complete in Fall 2021, with progress dependent on weather conditions.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
