RAMP CLOSURES: LA 1 (N. Spring St) on-ramps to I-20 EB & WB, Caddo Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, the I-20 westbound on-ramp from LA 1 (N. Spring Street) northbound in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be closed beginning at 8:00 p.m.
This ramp closure is necessary to allow for repair to the crash attenuator at this location. Following this repair, the I-20 eastbound on-ramp from LA 1 (N. Spring Street) northbound will be closed for the same purpose.
Neither ramp will be closed at the same time, and all repairs are anticipated to be complete by 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
A crash attenuator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to absorb the colliding vehicle’s energy.
Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place.
Restrictions/Permits: N/A
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
