(UPDATE 7/20/2021): DOTD advises motorists that KCS has canceled this road closure. DOTD will issue further communication if the work is rescheduled for a future date. We appreciate the public's patience.

(UPDATE 7/12/2021): DOTD advises motorists that this road closure has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 21, 2021. It is scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Original notification:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, LA 513 (Oxford Road) at the Kansas City Southern railroad crossing in Mansfield, DeSoto Parish will be closed.

This closure is scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is necessary to allow KCS to perform repairs to their tracks.

Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place.

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the railroad tracks. All vehicles must detour.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
