The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work will begin on the LA 465 construction project on Tuesday, July 06, 2021 and will continue for approximately six (6) months. This base course reconstruction and asphalt overlay project is located on LA 465, beginning at the intersection of LA 8 and LA 465 and ending at the LA 465 intersection with LA 28. This 7.362-mile-long project will receive drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, in-place cement treated subgrade, in-place cement treated base course, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work.
The project was awarded to the lowest bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $4,393,605.64.
Permit/Detour section
The contractor will begin replacing drainage structures on Tuesday, July 06, 2021. The roadway will remain open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a twelve (12) foot wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
