Road Closure of US 61 (River Rd-Chippewa St) - East Baton Rouge Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that US 61 (River Rd-Chippewa St) will be closed from State Capitol Drive to St Phillip Street from 7:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
The lane closures are for traffic control for the Freedom Mile 5k.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the closure.
Detour:
Traffic will detour northbound on US 61 (River Rd-Chippewa St) to LA 3164 (Scenic Hwy).
