NOW OPEN LA 29 (Whiteville Road), St. Landry & Evangeline Parish, Lane Closure

UPDATE: Effective Tuesday, July 6, at 7:00 a.m., the lane restriction on oversized loads will be 16 feet, to allow crews to remove drift from under the bridge. Thank you for your patience.
Effective immediately, LA 29 (Whiteville Road) southbound bridge over Bayou Cocodrie, at the Evangeline/St. Landry Parish Line, approximately 0.15 miles west of I-49, will be reduced to one lane until further notice.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform bridge repairs.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 20-foot lane restriction on oversized loads.
