UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 346 in DeSoto Parish


(UPDATE 6/17/2021): DOTD advises motorists that the pipe repairs on LA 346 in DeSoto Parish are complete, and the roadway has been REOPENED. We appreciate your patience.

Original notification:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 346 between LA 513 and LA 175, located about 4 miles north of the Village of Pelican in DeSoto Parish, is closed to through traffic due to the washout of two pipes under the roadway.

DOTD crews are assessing the situation, and determining the necessary repairs in order to reopen the highway. There is currently no timeline on when LA 346 will be reopened.

Access is being maintained for local traffic only.

Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place.

Restrictions/Permits: N/A

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
